Our client manufactures pre-fabricated switch rooms on-site and transports them to various locations to be deployed. Many companies need to transport large and heavy items of machinery across long distances. This is often done by loading the equipment onto a flatbed lorry, which cuts fuels costs during transportation as a result of the reduced aerodynamic drag of these vehicles. It also offers greater protection on the load from the impact of dirt or stones from the road.

When transporting large buildings, switch rooms, generators and such like on a flatbed lorry, covers are also typically used for many reasons, not least to protect the precious cargo from the impact of long road journeys and from adverse weather conditions.

Cunningham Covers assist our clients to capitalise on this process by turning the protective covers for the equipment into moving billboards. As well as designing large heavy duty tarpaulins that are easy to fit and remove, we can also brand the cover with the company’s branding or other relevant messages, ensuring that it captures the attention of other road users.

We’ve used similar protective covers for modular buildings being transported to their destination. Transporting modular buildings can cause serious drag with gaps in the buildings for windows etc, so using a protective cover has seen huge fuel savings resulting in a more aero dynamic load.
